Vahterus Plate & Shell heat exchangers and systems are manufactured at Vahterus Oy's plants in Finland. The manufacturing process is to a large extent robotised and automated as far as both welding and material storage are concerned. Enterprise resource planning (ERP) software is used to monitor our production and manage materials. This ensures the continued high quality and reproducibility of our products. Our production is fully standardised and connected to our management accounting application, which provides short delivery times and enables us to react quickly to the needs of our customers.

Our manufacture complies with the requirements of the Pressure vessel Equipment Directive (PED) 97/23/EC, the ISO 9001:2000 quality system and the welding quality system that fulfils the requirements of the EN ISO 3834-2:2005 standard. The dimension tolerances of welded structures comply with SFS-EN ISO 13920. Welding procedures comply with either EN15614 or ASME IX on a case-by-case basis.
